Study international law multidisciplinary and internationally in a global network

Leuphana University Lüneburg is receiving €4.63 million in funding from the European Union for its innovative international master’s programme in International Law of Security, Peace and Sustainable Development (ILSPSD). The joint Master’s programme, run by a consortium of six renowned European universities, is offered as part of the European Commission’s Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s programme, which focuses on excellence in higher education, and is coordinated by Leuphana as the lead university.

Lukas Hakelberg receives ERC grant for his research on the emergence of tax havens in the Global South

The ERC has awarded Prof. Dr. Lukas Hakelberg a Starting Grant for his project entitled “The Whiteness of Wealth Management: Colonial Economic Structure, Racism, and the Emergence of Tax Havens in the Global South (WOWMA)”. During its runtime, he will analyse the development of tax havens with a focus on colonial economic structures, income tax adoption, the survival of white oligarchies, and racism.

NEWAVE – Next Water Governance

The NEWAVE project departs from the notion that the global debate about water governance needs a reset, and aims to point the way forward. It does so by developing research and training for a new generation of future water governance leaders.

Opening Industry for Green Pharmaceuticals

The biodegradability of drugs was previously considered an environmental issue. Now Leuphana, together with leading pharmaceutical companies, is a partner in the EU project “Priorisation and Risk Evaluation of Medicines in the Environment” (PREMIER).
